Steve has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant for 30 years, providing tax preparation services, tax planning and tax and business consulting. He came to Woodland Park, Colorado in 1989 from Austin, Texas where he received his accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin, rated one of the top business schools in the nation. He earned his CPA certificate in 1984 in Texas.

Steve has extensive business experience with the client’s perspective as controller of two manufacturing firms in Texas and twelve years as controller of the largest real estate development firm in Colorado Springs. 

Steve received his MBA at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs in 1995 and was hired by them as an honorarium instructor in the spring semester of 1996 teaching a course in corporate and partnership taxation.

Steve’s expertise also includes non-profits, the music industry and estate planning. Steve was a director of the Woodland Park RE-2 School Board for seven years, serving as president for two years. He is also a performing musician.
